1. Acceptance
By accessing www.kicares.org (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. About KiCares
KiCares Research Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Merchandise sales support our mission to accelerate diabetes research.
3. Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to: (a) interfere with its operation; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts; (c) upload malicious code; or (d) misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
4. Donations
Donations are voluntary and processed securely via Stripe. Donations are generally non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy. You represent that any payment method used is authorized for your use.
5. Merchandise Store
Product prices, shipping fees, and applicable sales tax are displayed at checkout. All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the carrier accepts the package for delivery.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, and the KiCares name — is owned by or licensed to KiCares Research Institute and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce or distribute content without prior written permission.
7. Disclaimers
The Site and all content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Nothing on the Site constitutes medical advice; consult a qualified healthcare provider for any medical concerns.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KiCares Research Institute and its directors, officers, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
